The Children's Ministry at Atlanta City Mission on Milton Avenue

Our after-school program serves kindergartners through grade 8 and operates Monday through Friday from 2:30 to 5:00 p.m. It is designed to provide educationally stimulating and self-affirming experiences for children of families residing at the Atlanta City Mission on Milton Avenue.

The after-school program provides tutoring and enrichment activities for children whose families are living at the Milton Avenue Shelter.

The Saturday Program takes the children from Milton Avenue Shelter to special activities and field trips.

The S.T.A.R.S. program works with homeless middle-school age girls.

The Reading Is Fun Program is for homeless children, grades 3-9. The children are pre/post assessed for their reading comprehension level. The goal for the program is for the students to read at least three books per month. This program also enables the students to develop their comprehension and cognitive skills.
